Mitigating data breach risks in an organisation
Challenge
A global health insurance provider sought to reduce the risk of data breaches caused by employees sending sensitive information to unauthorised or insecure email addresses. The project aimed to identify the behavioural factors contributing to this issue and design effective solutions to encourage secure data handling practices.
Project
Key responsibilities included, but were not limited to, supporting:
Behavioural research & analysis: Designing, conducting and analysing surveys and interviews, alongside conducting desk research, to gather insights into employees' current cybersecurity behaviours and influences.
Workshops: Facilitating workshops with stakeholders to co-design strategies and tailor content to address identified behavioural influences.
Prototype development: Creating an interactive learning tool prototype that integrates behaviour change techniques and scenario-based learning.
Presentation deck creation: Developing presentations to showcase the project findings, design process, and prototype features to stakeholders.
